Bay View Family Retreat sits above Duvauchelle with wide, uninterrupted views over the bay. It's a private, single-level house — no stairs — which makes it easy and relaxed for small families and couples alike.
The living spaces are comfortable, with a large TV and a contemporary kitchen set up for easy self-catering. Two bedrooms sleep up to four (a Queen plus a twin room), and you'll have the whole house to yourselves — no shared spaces.
Duvauchelle is the quiet alternative to staying in the village: you've got the local hotel, convenience store, boat ramp and golf course close by, and Akaroa's beaches, cafés and restaurants are a scenic 15-minute drive around the harbour. Off-street parking is included.
All beds are made up with clean, fresh and quality linens. We also provide all toweling for your stay.

Two bedrooms sleeping up to 4: Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed; Bedroom 2 has two single beds — ideal for kids or friends. Cotton bed linen, extra pillows and blankets provided, with a free washing machine and drying rack.
A private balcony and garden with sweeping views over Duvauchelle Bay, plus outdoor furniture and a dining area — the best seat in the house for morning coffee or an evening drink.

A great location, quiet and close to Akaroa. Lovely views and a sunny deck. House is well presented, with comfortable beds. Highly recommend.
Awesome place for a weekend away
This was the perfect spot for our group of 4 to have a mums weekend away! Quiet, amazing view and in easy reach of good walks and Akaroa. It had everything we needed, thanks so much!
