Bay View Family Retreat sits above Duvauchelle with wide, uninterrupted views over the bay. It's a private, single-level house — no stairs — which makes it easy and relaxed for small families and couples alike.
The living spaces are comfortable, with a large TV and a contemporary kitchen set up for easy self-catering. Two bedrooms sleep up to four (a Queen plus a twin room), and you'll have the whole house to yourselves — no shared spaces.
Duvauchelle is the quiet alternative to staying in the village: you've got the local hotel, convenience store, boat ramp and golf course close by, and Akaroa's beaches, cafés and restaurants are a scenic 15-minute drive around the harbour. Off-street parking is included.
All beds are made up with clean, fresh and quality linens. We also provide all toweling for your stay.

Beautiful views, quiet and peaceful location for a Banks Peninsula getaway. Comfortable beds and kitchen was well-equipped for cooking meals.

We were extremely happy with Adam’s place. The views were spectacular from the huge deck and picture windows. The place was extremely well appointed especially having a washing machine. Comfortable furniture & bed plenty of pots & pans, glasses, cutlery etc (only lacked a bottle opener) Our only complaints which I have forwarded on to Adam were no working light over the front door, the lock box was not user friendly given its location (low to the ground with no efficient lighting near it). You would not want to arrive in the dark. Luckily I had a torch. Once these conditions are rectified I would give Adams place 9.5/10. Adam himself gets 10/10 for his prompt & helpful service.
