A note in the spirit of the place: it's an authentic older-style bach — clean and comfortable, full of character, but not modern or newly renovated. If you value space, views and a laid-back holiday feel over contemporary finishes, you'll love it here.
Two bedrooms sleep four (a Queen and a Double), and the kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering. It's set in a quiet spot away from the crowds, a 5-minute drive (or scenic 25-minute walk) from the wharf, shops, bars and cafés. You'll have the whole property to yourselves.
All beds are made up with clean, fresh and quality linens. We also provide all toweling for your stay.

A fully-equipped (older-style) kitchen for self-catering: oven, stovetop, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and a coffee machine, with cookware, dishes, wine glasses, kettle and toaster, plus a dining table.
Two bedrooms sleeping up to 4: Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed (1680mm); Bedroom 2 has a Double bed (1400mm). Extra pillows, blankets and clothing storage provided.
The highlight: expansive decks with harbour and hill views — built for BBQs, sunsets and relaxing — plus a private outdoor hot tub. (Note: access to the property and the hot tub is via steps.)

A kiwi bach tucked away in the trees at the end of Akaoroa village. Very peaceful, lots of birdsong, harbour views to die for. Simple older furnishings but everything we needed. Enjoyed a soak in the spa pool with it lovley private surroundings in the trees with harbour views.
Our stay at George and Christina’s place was marvellous. I loved all the personal touches such as the books, art and sculptures and old fashioned cutlery. The beds were super comfortable and the views from the decks were beautiful. We loved the Takapuneke Park in the same street and the Garden of Tane. We loved staying in a genuine NZ Bach and felt surrounded by history and family memories.
